Let's examine Charlotte resident T Shane Johnson's resume, shall we?  He is a veteran (LOVE our vets).  He is a motivational speaker.  Oh, and now you can add world record holder to his list of life accomplishments.  On Saturday, Johnson broke the Guinness World Record for most pushups completed in one hour.

The previous record (2,929) had stood for over 30 years!  Well, T Shane Johnson didn't just break the record, he SMASHED IT, completing 3,050 pushups in 60 minutes.  I don't know about you, but I'd be hard-pressed to be able to do 20 without taking a major break along the way...wow!  He was also trying to break the record for most pushups completed in 12 hours, but fell a little short.   Johnson finished with 16,500 pushups, the still-standing record is 19,325.  Which begs my next question...what's the world record for counting pushups? <g>
