The National Weather Service confirmed yesterday that the damage caused earlier this week at a York County turkey farm was the result of a EF-1 tornado .  The Clover farm is located along Hwy 55 east of Canaan Church Road.

Winds of about 110 mph tore through barns and other enclosures on a farm that had been owned and family operated for three generations. The damage was about 70 yards wide on the farm and allegedly spared the family home.

50,000 turkey live on the farm but sadly 4,000 lots their lives Monday.

I was just talking to Chris and Tanner this morning about how I have become very unfazed with tornado warnings when I really shouldn't be.  A tornado warning means a tornado has been spotted either on the ground or in the atmosphere in your area.  We should ALL be concerned when we get that news. The damage is real ya'll.  I know I will pay closer attention from here on out.  Poor turkeys.
