Ben Affleck’s “Batman” Returning For HBO Series
No secret here, I’ve written about it many times. I am a lifelong “Batman” fanatic. In fact, the only fanaticism that rivals mine is my son’s. Apparently, it’s a learned, if not inherited, trait. That being said, one of our favorite arguments to have is “Who is/was the best Batman?” Now, we bicker and argue about Christian Bale and Michael Keaton and Val Kilmer. However, we’re in lock-step-agreement when it comes to Ben Affleck’s portrayal of the Caped Crusader (“Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice”/”Justice League”)…as in, we think he’s awesome.
He dropped out of the role following “Justice League” but with the release of “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” director’s cut on HBO Max, there’s been renewed interest in continuing his version of the character. Well, now comes the rumor that he will return in an HBO Max Series: “Batman: Arkham Knight.” Not much is known about plans for the show other than Affleck will be back in cape and cowl.
