I've always found it interesting when villainous/morally ambiguous characters are introduced in action movies and wind up becoming so popular, that you kind of forget you're not supposed to like them.  For example: "Jaws" from the James Bond movies "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "Moonraker;" and "Boba Fett" (also "Darth Maul") from the "Star Wars" movies.  Apparently, another such character was introduced in "GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra" (2009) and its sequel "GI Joe:  Retaliation" (2013).   Here you see the mysterious black ninja, "Snake Eyes" battling "Storm Shadow".

In those two movies, the character was played by Ray Park.  However, an origin story is coming to theaters in August, and  "Snake Eyes" will be portrayed by Henry Golding (pictured above).  If there's one thing that says to me, "return to normal" its a movie like this:  a comic book/cartoon come to life with plenty of action.  Pass the popcorn, I'm all in.
