Okay, so this is scary.  And it's also reason number 876 why I am so glad I'm not a woman having to look out for crap like this.  So, Sheridan Ellis is a woman in Texas who went out with a group of friends for a birthday celebration.  Sounds great, right?  What could go wrong?  I thought you'd never ask.  “At the end of the night, I’m cleaning my purse out and I find this. If you don’t know what this is, it’s a Tile. It’s basically a tracker — people put it on their keys and whatnot. It’s not mine, I don’t know how it got in my purse. I immediately took the battery out … Check your purses and stay safe out there.”

This is CRAZY!  Interestingly, Sheridan HAS NOT reported the incident to authorities as she could not-with any certainty-pinpoint the time/place that the Tile got slipped in her bag.  And, I add cynically, no one goes "viral" by going to the cops instead of TikTok. <g>
