Just when you thought (or at least, hoped)  "Woke Culture" was taking a summer off, comes this preposterous, but true story from Randolph, New Jersey.  The Board of Education there has voted UNANIMOUSLY to remove ALL names of holidays on the school calendar, and replace them with the words, "Day Off."  Apparently, this arose from a contentious meeting in which the public opposed and reacted to an earlier move by the board to replace "Columbus Day" with "Indigenous Persons Day."  So, in other words, Thanksgiving, Yom Kippur, Presidents Day, Christmas, etc. have been wiped away.

Here's where it gets funny.  We have a quote from Board Member, Dorene Roche.  I could not have made this up.   "If we don't have anything on the calendar, we don't have to have anyone be hurt feelings or anything like that."  That is a quote.  Read it again if you missed it.  If THAT person is on ANY board of education, and constructs THAT sentence?  That's pretty much the problem, right?
