How did I know that just 3 days until we head for our annual 4th of July beach getaway, I was going to come across a story that, well, "Jaws," is out there waiting.  According to Osearch  “Ironbound” is a great white shark that measures at about 12 ft. 4 in. long and 998 lbs. The beast's tracker placed it in the Pamlico Sound near the mouth of the Neuse River at about 7:30 a.m. Monday.

Wait, the shark news gets even better <g>.  A 7-year-old girl was the apparent victim of a shark bit around 11:30 on Sunday morning while swimming off the shores of Ocean Isle Beach.  The girl was treated with stitches on her leg, but was no seriously injured.  I heard it AGAIN the other day that you are more likely to be struck by lightening twice that attacked by a shark, once.  That being said, I want to remind you of an absolute truth:  THERE HAS NEVER, I MEAN NEVER, been a shark attack in a hotel pool.  Just sayin'.  Have a happy 4th.
