Mecklenburg County’s Beach To Open For July 4th
Mecklenburg County’s beach, Ramsey Creek Beach, will be open on July 3rd and 4th. The “beach” is on the shores of Lake Norman and is part of Mecklenburg County Parks & Recreation. Capacity will be limited and hours will be 12 pm-5 pm both days. There will also be a free shuttle from the CATS Park and Ride at 19752 One Norman Dr., Cornelius NC, 28031. There will be no charge for beach access if you take the shuttle. If you choose to drive rates are as follows:
- Per vehicle – County resident, $10.00
- Per vehicle – Non-resident, $15.00
- Senior citizen or person with a disability – County resident, $2.00
- Senior citizen or person with a disability – Non-resident, $3.00

The beach has been closed due to the pandemic as well as a lifeguard shortage.
