Former “General Hospital” Star Has Passed Away
It has been one of the most-watched soap operas for many years.
Stuart Damon, who is best known for his role as Alan Quartermaine on General Hospital, has died at the age of 84. The news was broken by his son Christopher to the L.A. TV station ABC 7.
Damon began playing the role of the doctor with a pain killer addiction back in 1977 and would hold on to the role for 30 years. It was also reported that Damon had suffered from renal failure several years earlier.
I remember as a teenager that everyone was watching the show. The Luke and Laura wedding was a huge television event. You know soap is popular when teens gather to watch it! RIP Stuart Damon.
