I filled my tank yesterday and it cost me $25. It use to only be $17. It was good while it lasted my friends. Gas prices are up again, to their highest level in seven years.

Triple-A reports the national average price for regular is three dollars and 12-point-three cents a gallon. That's a half-cent higher than yesterday and nearly a nickel higher than one week ago.

Going into the Independence Day weekend last year, the national average for regular was two-17-point-nine a gallon. Experts say prices will not be coming down anytime soon.
