SAN FRANCISCO, CA - JUNE 10: High fructose corn syrup is listed in the ingredients of a bottle of Mountain Dew that is displayed in a cooler of a food truck on June 10, 2015 in San Francisco, California. The San Francisco board of supervisors has approved an ordinance that would require warning labels to be placed on advertisements for soda and sugary drinks to alert consumers of the risk of obesity, diabetes and tooth decay. The ordinance would also ban advertising of sugary drinks on city-owned property. If San Francisco mayor Ed Lee approves the measure, the law would be the first of its kind in the nation. I don’t know about you, but I love them all.

What better way to celebrate National Junk Food Day than by talking about delicious junk foods.  There are a lot of delicious junk food options on the market, but what came out when?

In the 1940s, the world was blessed with Mountain Dew, M&Ms, a Cheetos.  In the 1960s, Doritos, Pop-Tarts, Sprite, and Starburst burst on the scene.  Bagel Bites, Sour Patch Kids, and Diet coke arrived in the 1980s.  What is your go-to junk food?

I am kinda surprised Mountian Dew came out that early. I know where I grew up there was a soda called “Hillbilly Juice.” When my mother would load up my brother and myself and head to the drive-in, we’d always stop by the store and get some of the “Juice.” Then we kids would bounce off the wall all night!
