South Carolina officials say schools in their state can't follow CDC mask advice  according to Channel 9.

Governor Henry McMaster  reportedly says it is ridiculous not to leave it up to parents to decide if their child should wear masks in school or not.  Updated federal guidelines recommend indoor masks when school starts up in a few weeks for students.

That may be what the feds say but the state says differently in the Palmetto State. Due to passed legislation a budget provision that went into effect July 1 prohibits school districts from using funds to require its students wear masks.  To learn more check out the article from Channel 9
