Family Golden Retriever Scares Away Intruder Breaking Into A Charlotte Home

Many of you have seen pictures of my dog Winnie and you have probably heard me talk about her on the radio.  If we had an intruder not only would she not scare the person off, she would probably wag her tail and try and get in his lap.  She doesn't grasp the concept of danger.

Luckily for one Charlotte homeowner, his dog is a little more intrepid when it comes to protecting his home and owner.  Jacob was asleep in his Elizabeth home according to WCNC when he was awakened by sounds he knew meant trouble.

Gus the golden retriever was in no mood to make friends and he was able to chase the would be intruder off and the crisis was averted.  Lucky for us there is video.  Martin Jacob says he feels much safer knowing Gus is there to protect him.  A very good boy indeed.
