Admittedly, I haven't been as "in" to the Olympics as I have been in the past. Mostly because I just don't care about the traditional events. In the years that I've watched the most coverage, I've spent the most time watching the second and third tier events. Like I remember being totally all about Badminton one year.
Now, as you can see...this is NOT the Badminton game that you and I grew up playing in the backyard. These dudes are on a whole different planet. Which reminds me of the most epic, Badminton rant EVER. It occurred during coverage of the 2004 Summer Games in Athens, Greece. Mary Carillo was manning the anchor desk in the middle of the night for NBC when this happened. Still Great!
