Each week in collaboration with Two Lane Lager we are honoring a local hometown legend. This week's honoree is Officer Kyle Baker of  Concord, NC. Kyle was nominated by his wife Christina.

Kyle Baker has been a dedicated officer in Concord, NC since 2020 and an officer of Lexington, NC from 2003-2010. He knew that he wanted to help people and better the community when came back to law enforcement for a second time. After 3 months of being on the job, he tragically lost his partner Jason Shuping while responding to a call. Since the incident, Kyle has been awarded the Medal of Valor and The Veterans of Foreign Wars Life Saving Award for his courageous efforts that unfolded that evening. I believe Officer Baker should be nominated because he puts his family and community first and truly cares about the job he has. He is always striving to be a positive change in the community.
