I don't know if you've had the same experience I have, but it appears "Pickleball" is taking over the world.  At night, the tennis courts in the front of our subdivision turn into crowded pickleball battlegrounds.  I don't know anything about this game, other than it somewhat resembles tennis.  And apparently, this sport is loud.  Like loud to the point that some residents in a northern Michigan neighborhood are raising a stink.  And they are not the only ones.

There was talk of restricting hours of play (ending at 6pm), but 20 pickleball enthusiastic residents of the Iron Mountain, Michigan, attended a recent council meeting to object. - One, not-so-thrilled-with-pickleball homeowner, Roxanne Hudson, lives next to the courts, said she and her husband “just want to move.” Noise from the paddles and plastic balls goes on “hour after hour” and “just drives you nuts.” What makes me most happy about all of this is that the offending parties, for the most part, are senior citizens.  It's about time they had someone complain about the noises THEY make! <g>
