It's a familiar refrain all over the country.  Last year's Lake County Fair in Indiana was cancelled because...you guessed it...Covid-19.  However, like most such events, it has returned for 2021.  That being said, the Lake County Fair's signature event is still a no-go:  bean spitting.

The Bean Spitting Contest, started in 1988 and includes divisions for kids and adults.  Each contestant gets two beans to spit and the longest such expurgation is the one that is measured for the contest.  I guess we'll know when the Pandemic is truly behind us when all-American fun like this returns
