Admittedly and unashamedly, I am a sucker for any success story involving premature babies.  The picture above is not new to you, I've posted it before.  It is of our son, Hogan, when he was still in the NICU in Augusta, Georgia.  He was born on September 27, 2001, born 2+ months early and weighing 2.4 ounces.  Here is our "miracle baby" with me on Father's Day Weekend this past June.

Which leads me to this.   The world's "smallest baby" has defied all the odds and after spending a year in a hospital in Singapore, has finally gone home to be with her family.  Kwek Yu Xuan weighed just 7.5 OUNCES after being delivered via emergency C-section, four months early.

Hogan (our son) was in the hospital for several months.  When he was released on Veteran's Day he weighed just over 4 pounds.  Yu Xuan, after 13 months in the hospital now clocks in at 13.9 pounds.  And while she's still underweight for a girl her age, I bet there will come a time in her life when she will relish that statement <g>.  Here's to hoping her dad gets a father's day pic in twenty years like I did.
