Maren Morris made her debut as a talk show host last night (8/16) sitting in for Jimmy Kimmel on his show, and she was great, right down to her monologue.

Maren delivered her monologue like a pro saying in part, “Like most people, I’ve had a stressful year, mostly because when I wear a mask, my name sounds like Karen. Tougher still, I gave birth to a child in March 2020. Which means I’ve spent the whole pandemic in quarantine. So basically, this next hour is a vacation for me.”

Morris also did her first-ever interview as a talk show host when she Zoomed with Willie Nelson, and the two discussed pot, poker, his new book, taking kids on tour, and COVID.
