Well, it was great while it lasted.  I have to admit I enjoyed letting my face fly free for a little while wherever I went.  Fully vaccinated, I felt safe doing so.  Now with health officials confirming Covid cases are back on the rise, it seems we are going backwards.

Here at the radio station, out of an abundance of caution, we went back to masks at work a couple of weeks ago.  Now the city of Charlotte is planning to follow suit with the county most likely not far behind.

Charlotte's indoor mask mandate takes effects on Wednesday according to Channel 9 and the county may soon follow.  I knew we were back in trouble a few weeks ago  when I talked to my friend Karen who is the nurse supervisor in an ICU unit in a Lincolnton hospital.   She told me then that every bed in their ICU was occupied once again by Covid patients.  And she was exhausted.  Again.

To learn more about the new Charlotte indoor mask mandate, check out the story from Channel 9
