I preface this with something Debbie says all the time, "If Hallmark doesn't have a card, it's not really a holiday."  That being said, today is National Radio Day.  Now, don't get too excited it's also, "Bacon Lover's Day," "Chocolate Pecan Pie Day," and "World Mosquito Day." Although we'd like to think you love us as much as bacon or chocolate pecan pie, we realize that often we (well, Charlie) often are more of an annoyance to you akin to the mosquito, so it kinda works.  Anyway, the powers-that-be in the Country 1037 digital sphere asked if we could find some pictures of our life in radio to share with you today.  HA!  That's like asking a women's group at a Baptist church if they have any casserole recipes.  However, in taking this walk down memory lane, a common theme emerged-and not just because we're married-that theme is family. Charlie Nance is the Afternoon Drive co-host (along with his wife) of "The Charlie and Debbie Show" at WSOC, Country 1037 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The couple have been with the radio station since 2006. Charlie has won the prestigious CMA (Country Music Association) Award for Radio Personality of the Year and has been a finalist for the Country Radio Hall of Fame four times. Prior to his time in Charlotte, Charlie (along with Debbie) spent more than a decade hosting successful morning radio shows in Greenville, SC; Augusta, Ga; and Birmingham, Al. As a content creator for Country 1037, Charlie writes about dream lottery windfalls, sports, restaurants and bars, and travel experiences in North and South Carolina.
