We have made no secret of our love of the movie "Jaws" over the years. In fact, this summer it's become one of those movies for us that no matter what we're doing, or at what point the movie is at, if we come across it...we're stopping and watching. One of the best things about the movie is the relationship between Robert Shaw's shark-hunting, "Quint" and Richard Dreyfuss' nerdy shark scientist "Matt Hooper." I was reminded of this scene yesterday when I came across this clip from Australia's version of "The Today Show." In it, the most enormous great white shark I've ever seen is shown propelling itself out of the water in attack of prey. The show's host(s) mince no words nor hold back any expressions.
"I am never going back in the water." And the look of sheer terror on the faces...priceless. NO WAY would you see that in our country. Our TV hosts would be too afraid of pissing off some shark lobby or of fielding one call from a person who runs a business at the beach complaining that he/she was scaring people from enjoying the summer. Am I right?
