Not often does this sort of thing work out, but when it does, it's awesome.  I'm speaking of movies that are remade in English from foreign countries.  For example, "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" with Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara is FAR superior to it's Swedish original.  That's why I've got high hopes for Netflix's remake of "The Guilty."  In the spirit of my fave TV show of all time, "24," the film takes place over the course of a single morning at a 911 call center.  Now, credulity will be stretched as I'm not sure too many who look like Jake Gyllenhaal (pictured above) are 911 operators, but I could be wrong. <g>  Anyway, Call operator Joe Baylor (Gyllenhaal) spends his morning trying to rescue a caller he believes to be in grave danger...BUT nothing is as it seems...

"The Guilty" will have a theatrical release in September, but debuts on Netflix October 1.
