Some of you might argue with this, but I stand by the assessment that there is nothing sweeter than this in life.  I remember in 1993 I was told by someone that I needed to get out of radio.  I didn't have the voice for it, I wasn't funny enough, and I'd never "make it."  Five years later, Debbie and I were standing on the stage of The Grand Ole Opry accepting the CMA Award for Broadcast Personality of the Year.  Keith Urban reminded me of this today with this post on Twitter.

Apparently this clip is from 1983 and shows a 16-year-old Keith performing on some kind of Australian talent show.  BTW-how great is his voice back then...amazing.  Anyway, you gotta love the judge's reaction to the performance, "At 16, I’d have thought, for instance, you’d be pretty keen on forming a group. You’re a little, I think, as a solo performer not quite enough strength."  Sometimes...you just gotta prove 'em wrong.  I wonder how that judge's breakfast this morning tastes at the sight of this. <g>
