Luke Combs paid homage to Eric Church during a recent concert in the music legend’s hometown of North Carolina. Combs performed at his first-ever stadium show, which sold out, over the weekend and he sang Church’s hit, “Carolina” provoking a huge sing-a-long. “Carolina” appears on Church’s second studio album of the same name and was penned solely by Church. The track is a big tribute to the Church’s home state of North Carolina. It was absolutely incredible.

Combs also told the story of how his college buddy brought him back to country music by taking him to see Eric Church in concert. Combs has publicly said how Eric Church influenced his decision to start a country music career. During the 2020 CMA Awards Combs said, “without him, there is no me.” We love you, Luke!
