No danger of finding Kale at my house.  I am not proud of that but we just don't like the super food.  Many people do and many will be effected by a Kale recall across several states including North Carolina.

The announcement came yesterday from Baker Farms, SEG Grocers and Kroger.  According to "The Hookup" the potential for a listeria contamination caused the recall.  It can cause serious infections and can sometimes even lead to death in young children, older folks and people with weakened immune systems.

The recall came because a customer notified them of the contamination.  This particular batch went to Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia among other states.  So far no one has been sick but symptoms are high fever, severe headaches, nausea and abdominal pain.  Head to the FDA  website for product and UPC codes.
