Is that a stretch?

The NY Post is reporting that current James Bond director Cary Fukunaga has claimed in an interview that Sean Connery's Bond character was “basically” a rapist. He said there were many questionable sex scenes in the classic 1960s’ movies and that he would update the Bond character

“Is it Thunderball or Goldfinger where, like, basically Sean Connery’s character rapes a woman?” Fukunaga asked, referring to two of the six Bond movies that starred Connery. Sean Connery passed away last year, so is it fair for this guy to attack a role that the actor is not around to defend?

Isn't it Hollywood that screams about guns all the time also. Why not take all the weapons out of Bond too? Isn't it also just too voilent? Hollywood is only OK with what makes them money. Think I'll skip the new Bond film.
