Queen Elizabeth 2 is Britain's longest living and longest reigning Queen but don't you go calling her an oldie.  She is 95 but she has politely said no thank you to being named "Oldie of the Year'  by a British magazine according to Interprep.

Oldie magazine reportedly published the queen's response to its suggestion that she accept the honor just like former recipients former Prime Minister John Major and actress Olivia De Havilland.  No thanks says Lillibet.

A letter from her assistant private secretary read : "Her majesty believes you are as old as you feel, as such The Queen does not believe that she meets the criteria to be able to accept, and hopes you will find a more worthy recipient"  The "award" honors older folks who have made a special contribution to public life.  The queens husband received the honor when he was 90.

Since the queen declined this year's "Oldie of the Year" award, it went to a film star instead:  French American Actress and dancer Leslie Caron who is 90.
