OMG Have You Seen Nicole Kidman As Lucille Ball

Yesterday I told you here of how I feel in love with classic TV reruns as a child.  One of those shows that left an indelible mark on me was…

Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz

Yesterday I told you here of how I feel in love with classic TV reruns as a child.  One of those shows that left an indelible mark on me was "I Love Lucy."  I just thought it was funny.  It wasn't until I was grown, in college, and in TV and Film classes that I realized just how genius that show in general and Lucille Ball in particular really is/were.  She is arguably the greatest "physical" female comic we've ever  seen.  Anyway, back to "I Love Lucy."  This show was groundbreaking on a lot of levels-not the least of which was that its two stars (Ball and Desi Arnaz-pictured above) were married in real life as well as on the show.  Their real life relationship is the subject of a brand new biopic called, "Being The Ricardos" (Ricardo was the couple's fictional surname on the show).

There is NO WAY this movie is not great.  First, it's written and directed by Aaron Sorkin-only one of the brightest minds for story and dialogue in the history of film.  Second, have you seen the cast?  Javier Bardem as Desi Arnaz and Nicole Kidman as Lucille Ball.  "Being The Ricardos" opens in theaters on December 10 and begins airing on Amazon Prime December 21.
