After receiving a tip about an illegal moonshine distillery in NC the North Carolina Law Enforcement and Robeson County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation. Turns out the distillery was being run in a home in Parkton, NC. Parkton is in the Lumberton area south of Fayetteville.

A search warrant was filed and police executed it. They discovered two liquor stills which is the equivalent of around 2.5 gallons of moonshine, as well as 275 gallons of mash. The term moonshine usually refers to a high-proof liquor that is produced without authorization from the government. The name comes from its history of being distilled in the nighttime or under the shine of the moon. Depending on your point of view this shut down of the illegal moonshine distillery is either good or bad news.
