Every now and again, this business allows me to come into contact with music that due to the politics of the radio business I may never get to play on the air; yet, make my heart glad and/or cause me to think.  This is one of those.  I am as guilty (and probably more so) as anyone when it comes to letting life's chores and challenges get in the way of living.  How many times have I ended a call when my parents when I had time to stay on the phone?  How many times should I have gotten down on the floor and played with Legos with my son before he grew up and went to college-but I was "too busy?"  We all have these stories, right?  Then listen to this.  Cody Johnson's got a lesson for all of us.

"If you've got a chance, take it
Take it while you've got the chance
If you've got a dream chase it
Cuz a dream won't chase you back
If you're gonna love somebody
Hold em as long and as strong and as close as you can
Til you can't"

This song was inspired when Cody and his wife were in a near plane crash a year ago, and it occurred to him over the 30 minutes of mid-air terror that he needed to find the time for all the things he'd been putting off.  We all should.
