If you grew up around here or even if you have been in the area for a little while, you probably know the North Carolina town that has made the list of the most festive towns in the United States.  This is according to a survey by SIXT (Rental Cars).

I am really surprised that it didn't rank higher on the list.  The usual suspects are there, the North Pole, Alaska ranks number 16, Santa Clause, Illinois is number six.  Shockingly the most festive town in the country is Branson, Missouri.

Traffic on I 85 and Highway 74 starts to back up for miles at dusk in Gaston County as the cars line up to see a truly beautiful town all decked out in Christmas lights with all the trimmings.

Our little McAdenville makes the national news coming in #20 of the most festive holiday towns in the United States.  For more information and the whole list just go right here
