Funeral arrangements have been made for a North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper killed Monday night.  Trooper John S Horton died after his brother, also a trooper, reportedly crashed into him in his patrol car while responding to the call.  The motorcyclist that had been pulled over, also perished in the collision.

The body of Trooper Horton will be carried by the NC Troopers Association Caisson Unit on Friday.  Services held Friday on the campus of Isothermal Community College.  The funeral held at 5 pm.

This is an unimaginable tragedy for the Horton family as well as the family of the motorcyclist.  This is still being investigating.  It is a somber reminder that no matter what you do for a living, always embrace your loved ones as if it is the last time you will see them.
