It's been almost 2 years since we first brought you the story and teaser trailer for Morgan Cooper's complete re-imagining of "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air."  At the time it was a novel idea.  Then the powers-that-be at Peacock said, "Let's do this."  And beginning next month, the streaming service will begin showing episodes of "Bel Air."  The characters are the same (Will, Carlton, Uncle Phil, etc.), but this is an hourlong drama as opposed to the original sitcom, so just be aware the laugh track won't be anywhere near this version.  And the content and tone appear to have all the light of a dungeon.

If nothing else, this looks really interesting.  The first three episodes of Bel-Air will be released by Peacock on Super Bowl Sunday, with subsequent episodes to follow weekly. The series is currently slated to run for two seasons.  And Will Smith's Westbrook Studios is producing the show.
