Weather forecasters are backing down on how much frozen stuff we will be getting overnight and Friday.  At first, it was up to two inches and now I believe we are expecting to get a “light dusting” to one inch.  In other words, not a big deal. We got our first taste of snow last weekend. People were either really excited for the possibility of more or really dreadful.

I need to give a personal shout-out to the South Carolina Department of Transportation.  On Tuesday morning my 45-minute drive to work was smooth sailing.  Whatever they did to treat the roads absolutely worked.  The North and South Carolina Departments of Transportation have already started treating roads for whatever this light dusting to one inch of snow brings.

What is the saying, drive like your grandma is in the passenger seat carrying a hot pan of gravy? Drive safely no matter what the weather brings and never underestimate what black ice can bring.  To learn more about the weather on the way check out all the details from Channel 9.
