A Gastonia Man Wins A Million Dollars From A Local Scratch Off Ticket

Wow!  What would you do if you suddenly and randomly won a million dollars after purchasing a scratch-off ticket while you stopped for gas?  Would you quit your job?  Call your Momma?  Pledge a tenth to the church.  You would have lots of options for sure.

It sounds like a dream but it came true last week for one Gastonia man.  His name is Wilmer and Wilmer went big and purchased a thirty-dollar scratch-off ticket.  He purchased it at the QSC Food Mart on Mcadenville Road in Lowell.

So what will Wilmer do with a million dollars?  Only he knows for sure but we have confirmation that he claimed it and took the lump sum which after taxes is $426,069.  To learn more check out the story from Channel 9 right now

This isn’t the first time someone from Gaston County won big! One Gaston County woman won $200k playing scratch-off lottery tickets.
