Russian Figure Skater Found Taking Two More Drugs For Heart Function
What is going on with this 15-year-old Russian figure skater? She said that the illegal heart drug found in her system was an accidental mix-up with her Grandfathers drug. Now we are hearing that more heart drugs have been found in her body. This is getting crazy.
WKYC says figure skater Kamila Valieva listed two legal substances used to improve heart function on an anti-doping control form she filled out before her drug case at the Olympics erupted.
The World Anti-Doping Agency filed a brief in the Valieva case stating that the existence of L-carnitine and Hypoxen, though both legal, undercuts the argument that a banned substance, trimetazidine, might have entered the skater’s system accidentally.
In my humble opinion isn’t it time to just say that she is disqualified from skating. I feel for the young lady, but the rules are the rules. Also, it is not fair to the other competitors.
