It is never easy when you have to put down an animal. When you have to euthanize a horse that has been part of your life, has been your partner, and your friend for years it can be especially heartbreaking. The amazing people at the Corolla Wild Horse Fund had to put down one of their own treasured horses over the weekend and they were all so sad to let Tyler go.

Tyler was a stallion and reportedly in his mid-twenties and they had been keeping an eye on him.  His health had been declining.  Luckily someone saw Tyler fall and the vet was able to let him go "with dignity". To learn more about this story, just go here.

The Corolla Wild Horse Fund protects the ancestors of the Spanish horses that swam to shore on the North Carolina coast hundreds of years ago.

Here are a few horses that have meant the most to me over the years.  Who doesn't like to look at pretty horses:)
