Lee Greenwood Announces ‘God Bless The USA’ Bible

He is an artist that we normally see around the Fourth of July these days or perhaps to kick off an event and now Lee Greenwood is getting into the bible business.  There are many that are not happy about this.  Lee Greenwood announces the "God Bless The USA" bible. So what is that?

According to the Tennessean , this bible reportedly  sandwiches a series of American documents  in with the King James version of the Bible.  Harper Collins Christian book publishers have declined to publish this new version of the bible citing some find it sacrilegious.

Greenwood say he will find another way to publish and distribute the bible that will include the Bill of Rights, the US constitution , the Pledge of Allegiance and other documents. To learn more about this story just go right here

I have not seen this version of the bible but I am just going to go ahead and say it does not sound like a good idea.  To water down the message of the bible with "other American documents" seems unnecessary at best.  I think God's message should stand alone.  And it would probably do us all good to crack it open every once in a while.
