Video: Dad Shields Son From An Angry Rodeo Bull

This video brought tears to my eyes for so many reasons.  Cody Hooks is an 18-year-old bull rider trying to make a name for himself in rodeo.  It was his turn out of the chute at a rodeo arena in Texas recently.  He stays on for a few seconds but then gets thrown and knocked unconscious.

That alone is chilling.  But as Cody lay there unable to move the bull is not done with him.  Despite the efforts of others to distract the bull from Cody , the beast turns around and charges.  That is when Cody's heroic father jumps into the arena and covers his son with his own body.  Just typing this I am getting cold chills.

Landis Hooks does not hesitate and disregards his own safety; he just knows his boy is out there and is certainly about to be hurt by this charging bull.  You have to see the video for yourself.  Here is the whole story right here
