One of our dear friends for the first 13 years we were here at Country 1037 is/has been/always will be a cruise addict.  He and his wife live to hit the high seas.  I thought of him as I came across the story today of "Super" Mario Salcedo.  For the last 23 years, the retired finance guy has lived full-time on Royal Caribbean cruise ships (switching boats every few months).   Before we go any further with his story, I know the question you already have, because I did too:  what did he do during the pandemic when cruise lines were shut down?  Well...

Now, back to how Mario got to this life.  In 1997, after working for several finance companies and traveling the world witnessing the fun others were having, he decided to quit his job and book six cruises back-to-back.  He was 47.  He's been Royal Caribbean's best customer ever since.
