Big Oscar Winner ‘The Eyes Of Tammy Faye’ Has Strong South Carolina Ties
I like just about every Jessica Chastain movie I have ever watched. So, in part, I watched “The Eyes Of Tammy Faye” to watch her portray the rise and fall of the local legendary Tammy Faye Bakker.
I was a baby broadcaster during the time of the PTL scandal and I remember going to PTL for the news conference when Jerry Falwell announced he would be taking over the Christian network and taking over how Jim and Tammy would be compensated. It was an ugly time. And it all happened in the Tega Cay area of South Carolina and of course here in Charlotte.
