Charlotte Dancer Competes to Earn a Spot to Dance With Lizzo
Lizzo has made her way to the screen with her new reality television show, Watch Out for the Big Grrrls. The show follows Lizzo as she searches for her next BIG GRRRL dancers ahead of her 2022 tour. 13 dancers arrive in Hollywood, CA to compete for a chance to dance behind Lizzo at the Bonnaroo music festival. The show aired on March 25 on Amazon Prime and is featuring a familiar face.
Charlotte’s own, Charity Holloway, is one of the dancers featured on the show competing for a shot to dance with Lizzo. Holloway is a local dance instructor at one of Charlotte’s hip hop dance studios, NC Dance District. She is also the founder of 4Thirty-Two, a plus-size dance troop in Charlotte. The group was founded in 2016 by Holloway and they perform at live events and release videos of choreography.
The show consists of 8 episodes to follow the dancers fighting for a spot to dance with Lizzo. Each week they will face challenges to test different dance skills.
