Charlotte Hornets Part Ways With Head Coach James Borrego

This really took me by surprise. The Hornets seem to be on an upward swing under head coach James Borrego. The won ten more games in each season since he took the coaching position. That seems like a pretty good improvement in the NBA. Friday they fired head coach James Borrego. So what happened?

We may never really know. Atthehive.com, is saying it may have been some player discontent. Montrezl Harrell said he wasn’t quite happy with his role, Kelly Oubre Jr. talked about the need for more confidence toward the bottom of the depth chart, and Miles Bridges criticized the team’s defense. Plus, on March 31, LaMelo Ball talked to SLAM Magazine about wanting the ball in his hands more.

So the search is on for another new head coach. Most coaches in the NBA rent a place to stay. It seems like a smart move!
