To paraphrase Roy Scheider's character, "Chief Brody," from "Jaws," unfortunately, I've seen one of these things up close and I don't intend to go through that hell again.  The difference is I'm not talking about a one-on-one confrontation with a Great White Shark, but rather with a tornado.  I went to school in Central Texas (Waco), and we worked in Birmingham, Alabama-both of which are "tornado alleys."  I've never been more scared than when I pulled off a Texas highway and drop up an embankment underneath an overpass and watched a funnel cloud pass over the top of me (re-forming on the other side of the road).  That being said, when you're IN it, it's hard to get perspective on a tornado's raw fury.  Probably the closest any of us have come is watching the movie "Twister."  That all changes with this savage video of an EF3 tornado literally ripping through a Kansas town.

I hope that all the families affected by this storm's rage in Andover, Kanas are safe and sound and are finding a way to literally pick of the pieces of their lives and move forward.  Prayers.
