Maybe it got started when I was little and going to the movies was such a treat.  Further, it was an even bigger treat if we were allowed to get it at the movie theater rather than mom sneaking it in in her purse.  I'm of course talking about popcorn.  And I LOVE popcorn.  There is nothing I'd rather nosh on more while watching TV than a bag of microwave popcorn.  There's only ONE problem though.  Those damn un-popped kernels that live at the bottom of the bag and threaten to get mixed up with a handful of goodness that you throw into your mouth (and therefore threaten your dental work).  I know you're feeling me right now.  So, check out this TikTok hack.  I HATE I haven't thought of this before.

Now, the real “reason” for that slit in the top of the bag is, of course, to allow steam to escape during popping, so that you won't have an explosion situation in your microwave, but now?  The slit has an entirely new purpose.  So, quick review:  once your microwave popcorn is popped, invert the bag, shake it, and all the small un-popped pieces of corn will fall through the slit, leaving only the fluffy goodness behind.
