Top Five Things We Bet You Didn’t Know About George Strait
Happy 70th birthday to the King, George Strait. I met him once back in the late nineties and can you believe it, I cannot find the picture to prove it! You will just have to take my word for it:) I got one of our radio family members backstage to see him , in a way that would never fly today.
This guy came up to me and explained how much it would mean to him to go backstage to meet George Strait. I honestly cannot remember the story he told me but it was a good one and my heart went out to the guy. I told him to simply follow behind me and see how far he gets. Now, we CANNOT do this today, ok? This was over two decades ago and security is much different now. But the guy fell in behind me, low and behold he was standing in front of George Strait and shaking his hand. I truly wish I could do this for all of you.
