75,000 Pounds Of Baby Formula Arrives In US Wednesday

The next shipment of baby formula from Europe will be hitting the U.S. on Wednesday. According to a report from NBC News, FedEx Express has gotten a government contract to bring another shipment into the states. The first shipment of formula, weighing 78 thousand pounds, was received in the U.S. on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Biden Administration seeks to have 1.5 million containers of Nestle infant formula on shelves.

A Federal Express plane will fly Nestlé baby formula from Ramstein Air Base in Germany to Dulles International Airport outside of Washington, D.C. The formula will then be transported to a Nestlé facility in Pennsylvania. No word yet on how much formula will be on the second plane. The efforts have been nicknamed “Operation Fly Formula.”

The shortage has parents across the country panicking as they struggle to find formula to feed their babies.
