According to Fox News,  Alec John Such the original bassist for Bon Jovi died at the age of 70. He was a native of Yonkers, NY.  Alec played in early bands with guitarist Richie Sambora before joining Bon Jovi in 1983.

He left the group in 1994 because he "started to get burned out". Alec rejoined Bon Jovi for the band's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2018. In a statement, the band said it was "heartbroken" and that Alec was "integral to the formation of the band". It's unclear how the musician passed away. RIP
