Aviation Camp For Teens

We met Brenda Robinson a few years back and learned about her career in aviation. She is to be celebrated as the first black woman to earn her wings of gold as a naval aviator. Robinson joined the naval flight program in 1979 and became the 42nd to earn her wings in 1980 in Corpus Christi, Texas. When interviewing Brenda I found out all about Tail Hooking. Since 1981 Brenda Robinson has been offering a aviation camp to teens. Students are able to take a deep dive for all things aviation. Campers are connected with mentors aka aviation specialists that love what they do as they give guidance to young people. Through those specialists, students may sign up for later flights, join the Civil Air Patrol, or head back to school emboldened with a STEM foundation they can use.

If you’re looking for a worthy organization to donate to, this is it. Aviation Camp of the Carolinas is teaching, mentoring and doing great things.  Aviation Camps of the Carolinas depends on financial assistance from our community to keep the cost affordable for parents.
